Surf Window stores saved surf spots, alert settings, forecast preferences, and subscription state primarily on your device.
Location permission is optional and is used to show nearby surf spots and relevant conditions. You can use the app without location access by selecting spots manually. Coordinates, saved spot names, alert contents, and forecast preferences are not attached to analytics events.
Surf Window uses PostHog and the strict, no-IDFA edition of AppsFlyer to understand app usage and improve the subscription experience. The app may send anonymous events such as app opens, paywall views, feature-limit encounters, selected subscription product identifiers, purchase and restore outcomes, product-loading outcomes, and entitlement state. Events may include the app version, build number, platform, and Apple app identifier.
The app does not send precise or coarse location, saved spot names, alert contents, or other user-entered content to these analytics services. Session replay and automatic screen or element capture are disabled. The analytics integration is not used for cross-app tracking and does not collect IDFA.
Subscriptions are processed by Apple StoreKit. Surf Window does not receive payment-card details. PostHog processes anonymous product analytics, and AppsFlyer processes install and subscription-funnel measurement. Apple may provide crash and diagnostic information according to your App Store sharing settings.
